This past weekend I had a couple of Life's Precious Moments. My wife and I typically get our two grandsons (7 and 3 1/2) on Fridays to give the parents a break and we love having them over to our house. On this past Friday, one of the activities I did for them was let them play and record their own ideas of music on my keyboard and 24 track recording unit. They each did a short (40 sec) idea of their own and chose an instrument of their liking off the keyboard. They both did surprisingly well. When Mom came to pick them up in the evening, of course she had to listen to their music. Just seeing their reaction to her listening to their creations was absolutely Precious! The pride and joy in their faces was heart warming for me. Then yesterday, my wife went and picked up the youngest grandson at a volunteer event they were doing for Thanksgiving because he was tired and bored. They were doing the Thanksgiving dinner for the homeless and poor members of our community. While our grandson was here, him and I were watching Mark Rober on You Tube. The kids like learning from him. After the video was over, my grandson laid on the couch beside me and placed his arm across my abdomen. He looked up at me and said, "you're my best buddy!" And gave me a big hug. That melted my heart. I guess the whole point of this post is that there are so many precious moments to be thankful for in our lifetime. I do not want to waste enjoying these type of moments by being depressed, sad, or having the blues because of my COPD and the things it prevents me from doing. I want to enjoy every moment I can for as log as I can. Take care all. Thanks for reading and God Bless!
