Fatigue

How do you battle the fatigue when you wake up in the mornings.
Find it difficult to get going

  1. Hi again, katy60, and thanks for your post. While others may chime in and share their own experiences with COPD and fatigue, I was wondering if you thought (as you mentioned in an earlier post), that this might be related to your doctor changing you to the Breo medication? You did say, you felt extremely tired in the morning and, that your head felt fuzzy.

We do have some material on COPD and the fatigue that can be associated with it, which you may find to be interesting to read. Here is a link to one of those articles: https://copd.net/living/tired-vs-copd-tired/. I also hope you find it to be helpful for you.

    All the best,

    1. I maintain a sleep and wake schedule. Also some relaxing techniques helps.

      1. Hi again, GlaceSoundRacer and thank you for joining in the conversation here. We appreciate you sharing the way you manage your own level of fatigue here with the community. What types of relaxing techniques do you use? Are you able to share anything further with the community?
        Warm regards,

        1. In the morning I have gas and burp continuously , it gets so bad I have pains in my upper back. Saw my pulmonologist and said he never heard of it. I found if I have something to eat in the morning it helps.
At night my ribs on my side hurt, I take 3 aleve and after 20 minutes I can finally fall asleep.
I have had copd for about 4 years now and find it catching up to me.
