Yes, I have had to make a lot of changes. I have to pace myself and I cannot do the things I used to. It can be depressing sometimes. Of course, this disease gets worse as time goes by so I am not looking forward to what is next.
Oh gosh yes, I am disabled and walking on sand is SO exhausting! Especially when it's also hot outside, just a hard combination. I don't know what your beach is like, but there are beaches in my area (New Jersey) that have these excellent chairs to borrow: https://njmonthly.com/wp-content/uploads/cache/2017/06/js16041b_003/3661572975.jpg
It allows for easy movement over the sand and even a little floating in the ocean. Of course, you need someone to push you.Maybe there will be an opportunity for you to explore something like this in the future. Don't give up hope, there are still possibilities. 😀 -Melissa, team member
Hi. Have you thought about using supplemental oxygen? I've seen alot of ads lately for Medicare covering the portable ones. I'm close to the beach in SC. We have benches along the top of many sand dunes. If I'm having a bad day, I sit up there. Salt air,sunshine and ocean. My happy place.
Yes I have. I had to stop working because it was to physical for me to do. I know I have had to slow down and take it easy. I it is very frustrating.

I just entered stage 3
I hear you loud and clear. I love being a housewife, mom , grandma & love having a social life. I'm stage 4 with 22% lung function and now dealing with depression. I know the depression is due to all the things I can no longer do. I fight it everyday, somedays worst then others. Retirement meant a lot of changes, I wasn't prepared for this to be apart of it . So yes a lot of changes. Are you on oxygen 24/7
