Trilegy inhaler

My doctor prescribed trilogy 200 inhaler, very expensive, is there another one that will work as well for a lot less money.

  1. Good morning, Trelegy is a great inhaler, and many here in this community have noted how well it works for them. Plus it is a medicine I am currently trying, and it seems to work well for me. Interestingly, I never tried it before now because my insurance did not cover it. However, if you go to the "Trelegy" website and scroll down, there is a section titled "save on Trelegy." If you click on that section there are option that may help reduce your cost -- one of them for up to a year of $0 copay. This is something that I am currently taking advantage of. Also, there ARE other medicinal options that are similar to Trelegy that your doctor can prescribe for you. Many of my patients take Spiriva plus Symbicort or Advair, which contain similar medicines to Trelegy. And there are also nebulizer solutions that your doctor can prescribe too, such as Pulmicort and Performist plus ipatropium bromide. So, there are certainly options for you. What do you think? 1. As mentioned about the savings/coupon program, I to was on that during my use of Trelegy. Now I am on Stiolto (expensive too and I get help from them as with the Trelegy) and a steroid for my nebulizer, it was not the fault of Trelegy not working for it was. There is other possible options for help to pay for this medication, there is asking your doctor for samples to help keep you going, also there is programs that your doctor office can usually offer if you do not qualify for those on the companies web pages and finally you and the doctor can challenge your insurance company to help pay more toward it. My sister was able to get her Trelegy via medicare part B, 100% covered for it was submitted as a life saving medication. From my understanding there has been a law passed or pharm companies have agreed that at the beginning of the year that all inhaler co-pays will be capped at $35 a month. Actually someone on this forum had mentioned it. That's all I can think of for now, I so wish you luck!
