The backward steps

Feeling well and doing just as good and then wham you catch something and your down, trying to climb back up to the ladder and each time it takes a little more out of you

  1. I can relate, . It seems like that can be the story of our lives, doesn't it? We just have to keep climbing back up. Best, Jackie (Moderator)

    1. The information and support we receive from copd.net is invaluable and is a great forum in which to share our experiences, but we need more proactive advocacy on the part of the copd community and leadership. Can our moderators help us organize a campaign with agencies like the FDA? Can the leadership at copd.net keep us regularly informed about any medical advances we're making? Surely we all appreciate and are grateful to this organization for the chance to share information and commiserate with each other, but we also need strong advocacy to help put an end to this dreadful disease. Loud voices and the advent of artificial intelligence (AI) may very well bring us new hope in terms of medical breakthroughs.

      1. , here at COPD.net we are unable to organize specific campaigns like that but we do do our best to keep everyone up to date on the most recent treatments and trials! If you'd like to learn more about how to get involved in advocacy, I would invite you to join our sister community https://socialhealthnetwork.com. Our social health network is a community specifically for patient avocates and health leaders to connect and further their social health advocacy and may be helpful to you if you'd like to get more involved! All the best, Sam S. (COPD team).
