sick and tired of being sick and tired

COPD, I've had it longer than I can remember. I drag around my tubing of oxygen at home , I have a oxygo to carry when I can make it to the car. It's heavy, my husband carries my purse and extra batteries for my portable oxygen . thank god. it's a chore. I have to sit and catch my breath when I get there .
It's a constant battle to breath. I get frustrated and then lazy to do anything like exercise, which I should be doing more of.
Oh how I wish it never got to this . I have to wear depends, walk with a walker or cane and like I said , sick and tired of being sick and tired .

  1. Sending you a big hug tonight. I know it doesn't fix it, but we really do understand and you're not alone here. Feel free to talk with us as much as you want. Thinking of you! -Melissa, copd.net team

    1. Don't forget the old-lady metal chair and dangling sprayer in the tub! It destroys the ambiance in my bathroom. Actually, that one is helpful, if I get the energy to take a shower-bath. They're all helpful, in their own ways, but every time I go in the bathroom, it reminds me of when I was a Realtor, showing someone a house, and how it was obvious it was an old lady who lived there.
I also use the Oxy-Go, and my husband carries it all. Usually, I am out of breath in about two minutes, and lean on the counter to catch my breath. Over and over and over. I also don't like to exercise. And the more I let stuff stack up on me, the madder I get. I hear you. I have to talk myself out of it. It will ruin my day if I don't. It's all just stuff. We do what we have to do. I hope you are also able to talk yourself into appreciating the good things. And sometimes, we're just mad. Feel free to vent any time.

      1. Re: Ambiance, can you just pull the curtain closed? Or is it more that the chair is in there at all? I had a shower chair in my old apartment -- my hubby would remove it for his showers, then put it back when he was finished. Add a pretty curtain and no one would know it was there .... unless they were creeping around in my shower! 😀 -Melissa, copd.net team

      2. Hi, friend, Yes, I can pull the glass door shut and hang a towel on the door. And quit whining about it! But by now I have sort of gotten used to it. Was thinking about a fabric curtain on the outside of the door, though. That would be pretty.
