My regular Doctor and my Pulm. neither one will acknowledge that rib cramps are a part of COPD. WHY?

Hi oz,
I'm constantly amazed by the number of people that have exactly the same complaint as you! I wish I had an answer, but the fact is - I really don't know.
Rib cramping is actually very common among people that have COPD and is often a source of confusion. But, it is real, as you can attest to.
We had an article that addressed just that subject - you'll enjoy it:
Oh my God! Oz.....my doctors don't get it either!! I just joined today and I am soooo happy to see this!! What the heck! My doctor told me I'm crazy. I get cramps in my feet too. Lyn - If I can, I'm printing this article and bringing it to my next appointment. Or maybe just fine a new Doctor and bring it to them. LOL

@CopdGirl I have rib cramps and feet cramps but I get the same thing not associated with my COPD. Guess there is still after all these years that not lot known or researched. Here we can at least communicate with each other about what we are going through.

Yes rib cramps are real. I'm not sure what they are but it hurts. I have cramps in my toes and fingers. I thought my toes and fingers were arthritis. But rib cramps I know is got to do with COPD. Stay strong
