Pulmonary Rehabilitation closed.

It's 72 degrees hear in South Carolina!
Wonderful weather to be out in.....But COVID has changed our world for ever I think.
I was up and felt great, I was finally (after so long) getting my mind to understand the body was far from where it used to be.....But then comes the COVID
I'm not sure about all y'all but our hospitals stopped all in patient pulmonary rehabilitation. I was done 3 or 4 classes and was on a maintainized program using there department and machines 2 times per week for long periods of time. Now they have desided they will NOT bring back this program in the small hospital near me. I can't drive 35 to 45 min to go to another town.
Has this happened to any of you?
Is so, how are you keeping your excerise going? I can't afford nor do I have the place for equipment.
ANY SUGGESTIONS?
Health declining along with depression raising. Doctor does not know.
On oxygen 24/7. On 6 ltrs stage 4

  1. Hi , the pandemic is definitely taking its toll and I hear how frustrating and upsetting it is that your local hospital can no longer provide your rehab. I am sure our other community members will be able to chime in with some suggestions but in the meantime, you might find these articles helpful: https://copd.net/video/breathing-exercises and https://copd.net/living/respiratory-rehab-lessons. Please keep us updated on how you are doing. All the best, Sam S. (COPD.Net, Team Member).
