Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Has anyone done pulmonary rehabilitation? I'm curious as to what all is involved. Thank you.

  1. Hi , and welcome! I see you are a new member here having joined early today in the early afternoon. We are glad to see you already engaging with the community through this, your first post.
You have certainly come to the right place! While I'm hopeful others in the community will see your inquiry and respond by sharing their own personal experiences, I have something to say as well.
From my professional perspective, pulmonary rehabilitation can be very successful for patients (with a COPD diagnosis), who are well suited to the program. We actually have a wealth material which focuses on this very topic, all of which might provide you with some additional insight. For your convenience, here is a link to that material: https://copd.net/search?s=pulmonary%20rehabilitation%20overview. I do hope you find this information is helpful for you in a practical way.
    All the best,

    1. Hi again, CM152c, and thanks for your response and further clarification. I am glad to hear you plan on reaching out to the hospital for assistance. Perhaps support from the hospital staff as well as conversation about an endobronchial valve procedure (the Zephyr valve), might be of benefit for your wife.
Please do check back and let us know how this all turns out for you.
      All the best,
      Leon (site moderator asthma.net)

    2. Hi there. Did you call the hospital this week? I'm curious to know if they were able to offer you any further information or support. Hope you are doing okay this week! -Melissa, copd.net team

It taught me how to breathe, exercise and how to use the acapella for coughing if needed. I hope the link Leon posted is helpful. Know we are here for you. You have found a great supportive community. Warmly,Sandy copd.net moderator
