I was recently prescribed to start 2 liters of Oxygen at night for sleeping. I have noticed that when I am at home relaxing if I wear my Oxygen while awake I feel better. Is there any reason why I should not utilize my Oxygen Concentrator while awake and relaxing?

Hi PapaNoz - It's not unusual at all to feel better with the oxygen. However, before you begin using it beyond what's been prescribed, I would recommend you speak to your doctor. Tell him/her that you feel better when using it, even during non-sleep hours. Please let us know what they say.

Hi PapaNoz, and thanks for your post. I agree with the reply of my colleague, Lyn, when it comes to the use of the prescribed supplemental oxygen and first checking with your physician.
I also thought you might find it helpful to look over this article on the use of oxygen and COPD: https://copd.net/treatment/medication-overview/oxygen-therapy/. I do hope you find it to be helpful. All the best, Leon (site moderator)
