Newly found out about my COPD

I'm new to all this and have no clue as to what's going to happen or how to deal with it. I'm already on two puffers. One for daily and one for fast relief. There helping but I have to use my one for fast relief about four times a day. This is all I know about it. Can someone help me with someplace I can read what to watch out for and how to live with it? Please and thank you.

  1. Hi LouiseAnn62 - welcome - you've certainly come to the right place as we are all about all things COPD and COPD related. Of course we will help you in any way that we can!

An initial diagnosis of COPD can be daunting and challenging. I have always found, the more that is known about a subject, the better it can be understood.

Keeping that simple tenet in mind, I thought you might want to begin by reading about COPD. We do have a wealth of published material right here on our website, COPD.net. Let's start with an article about the basics. Here is a link to the article about COPD basics: https://copd.net/basics/. I do hope you find this to be helpful to read.

Based on your concern about actually living with COPD, I think this article (on that very topic), will be right up your alley: https://copd.net/living-with-copd/. Hopefully, this material will be very practical for you to read.

Kindly let us know, moving forward, what other specifics we can assist you with. As you navigate around our COPD.net website, you will find all types of posts from many of our members on just about every aspect of COPD you can imagine. If we can point you in any direction, please let me or any other moderator / team member know.

Please remember, you are always welcome here in our online community.

    Wishing you well,
