  1. Hi Nibbles, and welcome to our online community. I see you joined earlier today - we are glad to have you here! We appreciate your sharing your present situation (flare-up and treatment in the emergency department (ED)), with the community. For some folks with COPD, an unexpected flare-up may require supplemental oxygen therapy while being treated for the exacerbation.
How are you feeling now? Are you using oxygen at home?
    Wishing you well,

    1. Leon, now I am using oxygen as needed at home (Never have before) I feel better but not as good as I did before the last flare-up.

      1. Hi again, Nibbles - thanks for responding and providing a further explanation. I'm glad to hear the supplemental oxygen therapy helps you to feel better. For some folks with a COPD diagnosis, there (sometimes) comes a point where the supplemental oxygen therapy is necessary in the home setting. You may want to discuss further (with your physician), what the plans are for managing this disease for you moving forward. The doctor should be able to provide you with an idea how he plans to treat this in the future. What do you think?
