Medication flops

I was diagnosed 20 years ago. It's been one battle after another in the United States. Currently I have had to jump start my lungs the old fashion way. Without medications and doctors. So very sad but true for a lot of us here. My insurance company let me go and I can't afford any medication. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have other diseases to go with my COPD. The usual things like heart disease and I even got a side kick called narcolepsy with cataplexy. (A disease that causes sleeping bouts and seizures. Non the less this means even more meds. I have been without now for 2 months. Had a severe exacerbation and went to the Emergency. Still no insurance and now I'm behind in bills and still sick. I have been hearing about a non invasive procedure that I want to try getting. I have no idea how to maneuver without insurance. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I don't like having to say it but all of this is due to our subpar president and his lack of knowledge on most things important to others. I feel that my breathing is worsening. I am even locked out of pulmonary rehab.
Any idea's would be appreciated.
Thank you

  1. My heart goes out to you. No one should have to go without healthcare in this country because they can't afford it. Do you qualify for Medicaid and/or disability? You can also try calling your county's social services office to see whether they might have programs that help. Gentle hugs. - Lori (Team Member)
