lung stints

Has anyone had those stints put into their lungs for copd and if so do they work?

  1. Hi anna, and thanks for your post - you've posed an excellent question!
I believe what you are referring to is the endobronchial valve procedure, which is used to help in the management and treatment of COPD, for some patients.
There are members of our community who, in fact, have had the procedure done and have shared the results here within the community.
I am hopeful they will see your inquiry and respond by sharing their own personal experiences.
In the meanwhile, I thought you might gain some additional insight from the material we have published, right here on COPD.net, which focuses on this aspect of treatment and care. For your convenience, here is a link to that material: https://copd.net/search?s=Endobronchial%20valve%20zephyr%20valve. You will see, several of the articles are from the community members who have shared their own experiences with us.
I do hope this brief reply is helpful for your concerns.
    Wishing you well,
    Leon (site moderator COPD.net)
