Looks Like I go back in the Hospital Again!

It would appear that I may have pneumonia again. Also, I have a full-blown UTI, and the combination has me unable to even make it across the room. An x-ray tech is coming today to bet chest x-rays. As my cough had worsened, it now feels like I have been shot in the upper left lung. Between that and the dark brown urine sample that went to the lab yesterday, I am feeling very poorly. I had to call my son last night and tell him I can't make it to his wedding. This makes me sad but very angry too, as I have done all I could for months to make that possible, all to no avail. God just doesn't want me there. My neighbor is on her way over now to fix me some soup, as I am too sick to do it and have not eaten in two days. I am not a happy camper. I was hoping to wake up feeling a little better this morning, but nope. I will post more when I have more. Later.

I am sorry to hear you have caught pneumonia again. I myself am recovering from mycobacterial pneumonia that caused a week of ICU hospitalization. The recovery period has been a long and hard process. I am not out of the woods yet. I went yesterday for a CT scan to see how my lungs are doing. Hopefully all is well. I know all about missing out on family get togethers. None as important as a son's wedding, however. I am going to miss my grandsons first birthday this weekend. I was wondering why you are not in the hospital. I am glad you have a neighbor concerned enough to help you out. Try to keep a positive attitude, as negativity just makes things worse. Hang in there. God Bless!

    1. I am so sorry to hear this! Hugs💜🙏 Is there any way someone can post a live video for you? I hope you are feeling better soon. Best, Jackie (Moderator)

      1. I am so very sorry to hear all of this. Please try and keep your chin up. A positive attitude helps in your healing. Good to hear you have a neighbor to help you,. God bless you. You are in my prayers

        1. Hi again, kloker - I was concerned about you when I hadn't seen you posting for quite some time - I was worried! I just looked it up and see we hadn't heard from you since late April and early May.
And now, I see, there is an explanation!
I am so sorry to hear this has happened to you. I can imagine how frustrated and angry you must feel (about your son's wedding), as I know how hard you have been working on maintaining your health and independence. All this while still looking after your brother and being in touch with your children.
Perhaps, with a hospital admission in front of you, this all may resolve more quickly than if you were at home. Let's hope for the best, kloker!
We are all pulling for you, kloker, you know that! Keep fighting and get better with the treatment.
We will look forward to your next update here.
          Warm regards,

          1. Ah, yes! My friend Gordon (we were college buddies together back in the day) lives just outside Marion and is in your neck of the woods. Her also has COPD about like me. We talk daily and kibitz on life. He is a little better oof than I am. When I lived in Wacko Waco my Dad and I used to always fish on the Bosque North of town, and the power plant lakes at Mart and Marlin, as well as Lake Waco. There is no better eating on Earth than a couple of 3–5-pound blues freshly fried up! Yum yum eat-em-up! That sounds like a plan. I yanked my share and more out down there in Hunt, when I used to get off work at midnight qand go sit on the bank all night and just reel 'em in! The ladies in the cafeteria would then cook 'em up 'cause I brought enough to share. Mu plan to win the lotto was always to buy a cabin on the river there. Oh, well. I bought the numbers, they just never called them. Now I just wish I could sit out there all night once in a while again. But it's a worthy goal. Get well, and we will do it.

I'm really not doing very well today, but I am doing the back-to-back z-pack this week and we shall see. More later. Wow, I just heard thunder! Cool!

Sorry to hear you are not doing too well today. I actually have been feeling pretty well here lately. Seems like my coughing has been a lot less than it has been, and the mucus production is lessened also. I have been exercising with dumbbell weights 3 days a week, clean our place once a week, and clean an office once a week. So, I am staying pretty active. It seems the more I have been doing, the better I have been feeling. Hopefully it will continue and there won't be a relapse.
Yes, Marion is just a hop, skip, and jump away from here in Seguin. If the weather would only cool down, I could actually fish a couple hours once or twice a week.
Stay on the path to health and hang in there Kloker. I will do the same. We will get together to fish one day in the future. That is a worthy goal for us both to work towards. Take care!
