I still get around pretty good and even though I'm dragging an oxygen concentrater along, people think you're fine.

20 years ago I had blown out my back and was on 30mg of oxycodone. Today, all my doctors flat out refuse to give me a script for any opiates. It's maddening. When in the hospital last year for an exacerbation of my COPD, I was on Morphine 4X a day and also Xanax. Breathing and nerves were awesome. I felt alive and no like IO do most of the time, panic attacks and SOB. I'm currently at 19% FEV-1 , with a dead (No airflow) right middle lobe.

Hi , Morphine is something many in our community have shared they have used and i'm sorry it's been difficult for you to get your prescription lately. Have you had a discussion on this with your doctor to see what they say or if they can recommend something else for you? All the best, Sam S. (COPD team).

Am in Australia & we did not have the opioid problem you had in USA. Buprenorphine Morphine & derivatives can really help with severe COPD.
