Hospice care for end-stage COPD

I have been the sole caregiver for my husband in home hospice care for over 6 weeks. I sleep on the couch next to his hospice bed at night, and am not getting sleep because he pulls off his oxygen tube multiple times a night. I tape it to his face, but that doesn't help. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks!
Donna

  1. Sometimes the oxygen nasal cannula tube can feel a bit suffocating to the wearer. Sometimes the air coming out tickles the inside of the nose. Sometimes it gets sweaty under the nasal cannula. What has he communicated to you about why he pulls it off? It could be something that we didn't touch on.
