Death is Depressing

I need to stop reading these articles. The last four I have read, have notice of authors' deaths following. This is super depressing to me and not helpful at all.

  1. My wife and I found great comfort in this series.

    1. Hi , We fully understand how upsetting and triggering those notes at the end of the articles can be for you. Our intention in including them is to keep the community informed — particularly in cases where readers may have questions for the author and wonder why they aren’t able to respond.

We were fortunate to work closely with those health leaders, who were invaluable members of our team. At the request of their families, we’ve kept their content available so that their important work and legacies can continue to help others in the community.

That said, we deeply recognize that these notes can be distressing for some readers, and we sincerely apologize for any pain they may cause. Your feedback is important to us, and we are committed to creating a safe, supportive space for everyone in our community.

All the best, Sam S. (Admin).

      1. I can relate to what you are saying, Nancy. For me, learning what my future is, was initially depressing. There are some issues where ignorance is bliss, so they say. After reading what people have posted, and as time passes, I look at it this way. I know my future, I know what needs to be done and I still have the time and ability to get everything in order before I can't. For that I am thankful. Even so, I still have moments of sadness or depression or resignation. But in between those moments are the times I do not want to waste. Don't know if this makes any sense.

        1. You have a fabulous attitude! It's true that dwelling too much on our "unknown" future can be depressing, but making the most of the life we have is so important. Each day is a gift for all of us, healthy or not. I love your moto of not wasting the good times.

      2. Boy do I understand what you are saying. The information that was given by the author and the responses by others are very much worth reading though. As for the death of the author, we have no idea on how they died, could have been a car accident, slip on a banana. No one knows when or how they will die, it will just happen when it happens. Sure hope you continue checking the site and forum out, there is some really good insight here. I wish you the best

        1. @ I never looked at it that way before ..the banana peel possibility. Thank you for that.
