CPAP Machine for copd

I use a CPAC machine at night time. Oxygen only on excertion. I have had such a bad cold that I can't use tge CPAP machine that continually blows air into my nose while sleeping. I am far to stuffed up to use it for 2 days now. I was wondering if I could use my oxygen tonight?

  1. Hi EllenJaneLockhart - I see you posted this yesterday (Saturday night) and I didn't see the post until just now. I was wondering, how did you do last night? I understand the difficulty having the constant 'blowing' from the CPAP machine, when you're feeling all stuffed up. You may know we cannot provide medical advice over the internet (for your own safety), but your inquiry warrants a reply. If you have oxygen prescribed for exertion, using oxygen at night may not be indicated in your situation. It's best if you take that up with your physician since (s)he should be able to advise you what to do should this situation recur.
I hope this brief comment is helpful to you.
