Copd and asthma

I have just been told by my doctor nurse that i had both, to be honest didn't realise that was possible. I'm vaping now plus about five cigarettes a day. I'm breathless but it's not to bad but I'm so tired, is this going to get worse even when I not smoking? I have a pink, blue pump. I'm 56 and a bit scared of what i have to face in the future. kind regards Kathleen.
