Which air purifier is best?

Is there any specific type of air purifier that's better than another and/or what is the best kind to buy?

  1. Hi nkipopg and thanks for your inquiry. A good number of our community members have expressed interest in the quality of the air they breathe in an effort to protect themselves from unwanted triggers in the environment. As well, there have been discussions both on our website and Facebook page about air purifiers and air cleaners. Although we don't recommend any one manufacturer or product over another, it becomes a personal matter as to the selection process. You may find it beneficial to discuss this with your physician and your medical equipment supplier.
In view of your concern, I thought you might find it helpful to look over this material on this very topic: https://copd.net/q-and-a/air-cleaner-purifier/

    1. Honestly what is wrong with you Leon? 90%of the responses you post are so trite and condescending.
I am amazed at the naivety embraced by so many here that our ‘doctors’ have these answers !
Apparently a site moderated by someone unwilling ing to voice an opinion or recommendation is not a place for me. Way to shallow, no info that can’t be found in a COPD 101 ‘you’ve sent diagnosed booklet’. My G-d what a worthless site. No need to throw me out .. I challenge you to post this.
Playing Switzerland and puking out kindergarten level info is… useless.

      1. Hi Corey - thanks for chiming in here with your own personal and specific points of view. We realize and understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion(s) and we welcome all viewpoints here in the community - both positive and less than positive. We also understand that not everyone will agree with or be satisfied with the approach to managing COPD and the suggestions and information we provide.
Naturally, your membership and participation in our online community is completely voluntary. We certainly don't want to 'lose' you but, if you find our content is not helpful to you, you are completely free to remain here or find what will be better for you elsewhere.
Either way, the choice is yours and we wish you well.
        Regards,
        Leon (site moderator COPD.net)
