What about COPD.net are you grateful for?

November is COPD Awareness month, and this year our theme is Being Grateful for our Community...so we want to hear from you! Share what you're grateful for about COPD.net in the thread below!

  1. ,
I am so grateful for finding this site after I was diagnosed. There is a wealth of information available here. The moderators are awesome, the forum members are awesome, and it is a great place to vent and get lots of different ways forum members deal with the various problems COPD causes. I visit several times a day and have made it part of my daily routine. Please keep it up and running. Thank You!

    1. Hi again, whirledpeas - happy belated Thanksgiving!! We had a good one ourselves, thanks! We spent the day with some nuclear family and some family of in-laws while still some of our (grown) children were 'on duty' keeping everyone safe or choosing to be elsewhere for the day. We did get to spend time with our granddaughter - she is the light for all of us. And, the nuclear family we did not see on the holiday, we were able to spend good time with afterwards! All good!
I am very glad to hear that you are feeling better so that you will be able to turn your attention to those indoor projects which I know you want to finish. Keep at it - I am sure you will get there! With the snow outside, that can be your first choice - the projects!
      Warmly,
      Leon (site moderator COPD.net)

    2. It's true though, you are! And none of us are lovely all the time -- I'm definitely not. 😐 So good to hear you enjoyed your family! We traveled to different relatives than we usually see, so it was a nice change of pace (and different food!). Thanks for the kind words. -Melissa, copd.net team

  4. I’m grateful that people who are stage 3-4 take the time to share their experiences. I’ve learned a lot in a short time about symptoms, flare ups, hospitalizations, respiratory therapy and medications. I’m “only” stage 2, but I’ve gained valuable insights into the methods that keep COPD sufferers STABLE for many years in some cases. Role models like that give me hope for the long run and also help alleviate some of my anxiety right now.

The site moderators do a great job too!

    1. Thank you! People like you make a difference!

    2. you’re very lucky 🍀 that you’re Stage 2!!
I am Stage 3, but, fell like Stage 2, due to very few Flare - ups.
The most Flare -ups were in 2020 — 2023, due to the COVID-19 🦠 Pandemic, which fought off easily.

Please read our rules before posting.
