I have been considering investing in an adjustable mattress so I can raise my head/torsi to assist with breathing and GERD. Has anyone else used an adjustable mattress? If you have, does it help?
Hi . Many people find adjustable mattresses helpful. I hope you get feedback from others in the community who use them. In the meantime, here is an article from one of our health leaders who invested in one and seemed to be happy with it: https://copd.net/living/sleeping-situations. I hope this helps. Best wishes. - Lori (Team Member)

Thank you, Lori! Very helpful! I'm hoping that using an adjustable bed will assist me as the COPD progresses. Up to this point I have been using a wedge pillow - but as was mentioned in the article, I slide down and am off it several times during the night. If I get the adjustable I'll share my findings with the community.

, I am not sure what options you are referring to. I simply bought the queen size Coop Eden. It comes with an extra bag of shredded memory foam, and instructions on how to adjust it for your best sleeping. My wife finally listened to me and bought one for herself after complaining for years about bad pillows. She no longer complains. Hope this works for you. Take Care and God Bless!

Thank you, Diminor9! Hoping that the adjustable will help both my COPD and my GERD! I'll let you know how it goes once we have purchased one.

I got a hospital bed. Raising the back wasn't enough for me. I am a side sleeper and every time I tried to roll over it would wake me up. With the hospital bed I am able to raise my legs just enough to bend my knee. It's very comfortable and I haven't been awakened by the urge to roll over and sleep through the night. Just keep that in mind when looking at adjustable. Some only raise the back and it may not be enough. Wishing you the best sleep possible.

Thank you...I've been looking at the ones that have the option if raising both head and legs. Like you, I'm a side-sleeper and I'm hoping I can find something that will work better than what I'm using now.
