A New Family Member!

We finally to the plunge again and went to the local animal rescue Saturday and brought home an adorable mix breed 2 year old dog named Whitney. She is gorgeous, has had some training and a quick learner! Still has "puppy" in her, but also can be calm (thank goodness). Took her to the Vet right away she is healthy, 50lb medium size and her color is what they call a black brindle. Yes, she is already sleeping in the center of the bed, she figured that out the first night LOL. What a great joy in just a few days we have had her, guess we saved her, but she has also saved us! Just thought I would share with you all. We might not be 100% of what we use to be, but to help and find a new family member you don't have to be. if you wish to know what she truly looks like, please check out the dog breed called " Treeing Tennessee Brindle " she looks exactly like one. What a joy and hard work at times she is, but so worth it!

  1. Hi again, (Doris) - I am so very happy for you! I know exactly what joy this 'puppy' has already brought to your life. As for the 'brindle' - my son has one (and we are often times 'dog sitting' here. That dog (Bulleit) garners so much attention for his coloring and his personality. In fact, when I have them both (with my dog, "Latka"😉, it becomes quite an entertaining walk.
Here is my Latka - I will have to post Bulleit separately as only one photo per post is accepted.
Have a great time with your new 'family member', Doris!!!Latka

    1. As promised, (Doris), here is the photo of Bulleit and Latka together.Bulleit and Latka

    1. Hey (Doris) - they are phenomenal dogs, thanks!! It took three quick photos, in rapid succession, to capture that great pose. Extremely rare, indeed!!

      1. So excited for you Doris -- a new pet brings so much joy and curiosity into the house, for sure. I know she will keep you busy and smiling, both are good things to be!

Would love if you shared a picture when she settles in a bit. It is cooling off up here in New Jersey, and my Ginny cat has started to wiggle her way under the blankets at night, which she only does in the colder months. I love the extra snuggles, but my husband, not so much! Haha.

Enjoy your new buddy!! -Melissa, copd team

        1. Hi there, Doris and good afternoon! Wow - with everything else you are managing, I truly appreciate you making the time to get this picture and share it here with the rest of us.
What a delightful looking 'little' dog. She must bring you a lot of joy and happiness! Looks to me, like she would be a great playmate for the two doggies I posted above! One day...
          Enjoy the weekend!
