Zyphyr valves

Has anyone tried the Zyphyr valves that are suppose to help release air from your lungs. If you have them can you tell me how you are doing after getting them?

  1. Hi again, sharonr - great question! Are you being considered for this procedure? It's only natural to want to know more about it! Fortunately, we do have some material published, right here on COPD.net, which focuses on the endobronchial procedure. In fact, some of our community members have spoken about the procedure from their own personal experience.
For your convenience, here is a link to several of these articles: https://copd.net/search?s=endobronchial%20valve%20Zephyr. I do hope you find them to be helpful in a practical way.
    Wishing you well,

    1. Hi!
I had the endobronchial valves inserted in February of 2020. It was a simple procedure, though I was hospitalized for a few days for observation because it was a fairly new process. At the time, I was using full-time oxygen, and categorized as very severe. here recently

      1. Thanks for chiming in here and sharing your own experience with the community - we appreciate your candor.
        All the best,
