As for your question - it's a good one! An exacerbation of COPD is a sudden worsening of symptoms for the person with a COPD diagnosis. This can certainly vary from patient to patient in terms of acuity, symptoms and required intervention.

It helps but still get short of breath daily. I think I am about to look into oxygen because I am getting worse. I have been diagnosed for over 7 years.
