too many complications

After numerous tests over many months I now have to travel 90 miles for a consultation with a heart surgeon because most (but not all ) of the tests point to a blockage in one of the tubes connected to my heart and a stent will have to be fitted. But, there are complications, I already have a pacemaker fitted and my COPD gives me breathing problems and I also have severe Peripheral Nephropathy in my legs. So I'm told by my GP and the other medics that the surgeon may decide not to operate and that without the surgery "You will die" Not much to look forward to eh !!

  1. Hi , I hear how much you are dealing with and how hard it must be! Contending with multiple conditions at one time is exhausting and can be scary when the treatment for one is impacted by the symptoms of another. Did your doctor give you any alternative treatment options if the surgery would not be possible? All the best, Sam S. (COPD team).
