Surgery

HI , and thanks for your post and question. While I am hopeful others in the community will see your inquiry and respond, I have something to say too.
Are you able to share your concerns regarding emphysema and prospective knee replacement surgery? Is this something you are considering moving forward? Perhaps if you can share your questions/concerns, we can help you in a general way. I also think, if this is something you are facing, you may be able to discuss it with both your pulmonologist and the surgeon who will be doing the procedure.

I'm not a physician but sometimes requires a clearance or approval to go ahead with the surgery but like said you would ask your pulmonologist about your concerns. I haven't had my knee done but I had a different type of surgery that required a cardiac clearance but I also spoke to my pulmonist as well.
