Staying safe

Tuesday 12/5 was my appointment with my pulmonologist. Arrived at 10:00 for a 10:15 appointment. When I got back into my room, the Dr came in very quickly and ask me what time I arrived in waiting room. I did my PFT and he listened to my lungs. Since I was having no problems, he informed me that a patient had arrived first thing in morning, didn't give reason for appointment but was checked and found positive for COVID. He said if I had been in office longer than the 10min I was there, he would have had to start antibiotics. But now just have a get a second booster or 4th covid vaccine. Quickest dr appointment ever! But he was keeping me safe! BTW my PFT was 77 percent..only down 2 degrees so very good, especially since it has gotten cold!! Stay safe my COPD friends in this winter season!

  1. Hi KitCat (Cat), and thanks for sharing this with the community. Wow - I am glad to hear your pulmonary function test (PFT) results showed no significant percentage change from the last test. You must be gratified, too!
It also sounds like your doctor took all the proper and necessary steps to afford you the safest guidance that was available!
Please do check back and keep as posted as you see fit.
Thanks for your kind words, too - I wish you the very same - a safe and healthy holiday season!
    Warmly,
    Leon (site moderator COPD.net)
