  1. Hi again, Jamie - we hear you and have responded to you, too!
I know you posted something similar, elsewhere on our COPD.net platform.
A few of our team members have responded to you there - I do hope you have an opportunity to look over those conversations.
For your convenience, here is a link to the other post, here on COPD.net:

  2. Hi Jamie - thanks for letting us know. I thought something might be up and now, with your explanation, it's understandable.
Interestingly enough, I also get those messages "oops something...", and yet when I refresh the page, I see my comment has been posted. I think it may be a 'glitch' with our platform in that regard.
Please don't be concerned - what matters to us is that you are able to post and communicate so we can interact with you on a regular basis.
Again, your explanation is very much appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Leon (site moderator COPD.net)

    1. Jamie - Easy there! There's no reason you can't live a long full life. I fired my first doctor when I was hospitalized the first time for my COPD, when he bluntly and rudely scared the crap out of me because he didn't care. The truth is, most doctors and other health care professionals are caring and helpful and positive, not cold and rude, and you don't have to put up with it - you deserve better. If your pulmonologist or other doctor is not fully supportive, get a better doctor! I did, and never looked back (except to file a complaint). My caregivers take wonderful care of me and every single one is highly supportive. So I will tolerate nothing less. I am, after all, a paying customer, without whom they would have no job. That said, I always ask a million questions about everything and They answer. FYI - the best answer to fear is knowledge. The more you learn, the more you know, the less worry you will feel. So relax. That 5-year thing is bogus. There are no definite answers, but there is most certainly much that can be done from where you are now to promote good health and longevity. Meanwhile, I highly recommend your first priority is to find a doctor that is highly supportive. It makes all the difference. And hang around here, I've learned a lot!

      1. Hi kloker, and thanks for lending your own support and encouragement here. We also value you sharing your own personal experience managing this condition with the community.
We appreciate both your input and your feedback.
        All the best,
        Leon (site moderator COPD.net)
