Portable concentrators

Looking to purchase a portable concentrator for activities outside of home. Appreciate suggestions and or experiences with them and costs.
Thanks
Pat

  1. Hi Pat, and thanks for your post. While I'm hopeful others in the community will chime in and share their own personal experiences using portable oxygen concentrators, I have something to contribute as well.
There are several of our community members who have already made comments (right here on our COPD.net website), regarding portable oxygen concentrators. As well, we have published some material on the topic as well. For your convenience, here is a link to several of those articles: https://copd.net/search?s=portable%20oxygen%20concentrators.
I do hope you find the material is helpful for you in a practical way.
    Wishing you well,
    Leon (site moderator COPD.net)

    1. Thanks Leon. Will check out the articles.

  2. - Welcome! I don't have one yet, but I have been approved for one to be provided by Medicare. So, I'm on a waiting list for over 4 months now. Frustrating! My friend Gordon bought one, an Inogen G5, and it was expensive. Close to $3k with extra HD batteries. But he loves it. His payments are about $60 a month. He goes all over with it. I am not on that top shelf, so I have to wait. Delays are apparently due to Covid. Keep us posted on what you wind up doing.

    1. Thanks again. I’ve noticed how anxious they are to get my contact info. To receive a price is like pulling teeth.

    2. That's the thing about dealing with Inogen - it's direct. There is no con-artist middleman. No sleazy used car salesman. You are going to the factory.

  3. Hi Pat - it's my pleasure. If there is anything further I can do to assist you in any way regarding COPD, please just let me (or any other moderator / team member) know).
You are always welcome here in our online community.
    Wishing you well,
