Not and sick

I have copd, this has been happening for a month, had a lung infection and being treated for it, for about a month, just out of no where, my head gets hot,and a sick feeling comes over me, then it goes away, after awhile it will come back, can anyone tell me what going on

  1. Hi - thanks for the question - it's a good one! This is a very real concern of yours, as it should be. You may be aware we cannot provide medical advice or diagnostics over the internet (for your own safety), however this concern certainly warrants a reply.
This is the perfect issue to take up with your prescribing physician. It may not be coincidental that the symptoms you shared here (your head becoming hot plus feeling sick transiently), seem to have started when you began taking the medication for a lung infection for a month.
The doctor would certainly want to be made aware of this.
    What do you think?

    1. Going to see my doctor next week, your right, it started when I started my meds, Thank you

      1. You are most welcome, ! I think your plan to see the doctor this coming week is a very prudent course of action. The doctor should certainly understand the symptoms you've shared with us here, and devise a plan to continue treatment (as needed), but without the side effects.
Please do check back and let us know how this turns out for you. We have a genuine concern for your good health!
        Warmly,

      2. Hi. How are you feeling? Did you end up getting in to see your doctor? I really hope they figured out what's got you feeling so unwell and that it was a simple solution. Take good care of yourself! -Melissa, copd team

    2. It you're taking Prednisone (a steroid in pill form, usually) that could be it. It can really mess with you; gives me hot flashes.

      1. Doing pretty good, better, my infection was worse then we thought, sure felt better after my Doctor , but I got COVD they have me all up on Paxlovid,

        1. Hi again, , and thanks so much for checking back here and providing the update. First, I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better, doing well! It's good you went to see the doctor - a COVID diagnosis - wow! I am glad it was diagnosed in time to start the course of Paxlovid. Hopefully, this will take care of this for you!
Feel better and, when you are up to it, please keep us apprised of your progress. We have a genuine concern for your good health.
          All the best,
