Nebulizer

I need to purchase a nebulizer. Any recommendations?

  1. Hi , while we can't offer medical advice (for your safety!), so I would definitely recommend talking to your doctor about what type of nebulizer they think would work best for you if you haven't done that already! We do have an excellent community who I am sure will chime in with their own experiences. In the meantime, here is an article we have on different nebulizers: https://copd.net/clinical/nebulizer-types. I hope this helps! All the best, Sam S. (COPD.Net, Team Member).

    1. Thank you for responding. I will read the article and get back with my doctor.

      1. , Please let us know how you are doing once it gets delivered! Wishing you an easy day. All the best, Sam S. (COPD.Net, Team Member).

      2. Hi Mainelaine - thanks for continuing with this conversation. I'm glad to hear that a nebulizer has been ordered for you by your physician. I imagine he/she has prescribed medication as well.
If we can assist you in any way, please let me or any other moderator / team member know.
From my experience, most patients derive a good benefit from using nebulized medication - I hope this will be the case for you, too.
So good to hear you are feeling better now, too!
        Keep up the good work!

    2. Although we can't recommend specific nebulizers, after you speak to your doctor about what you should get, I would look online. I purchased mine on Amazon at a great price. They had plenty to pick from with many options. It's a place to start...
Let us know how you make out.

      1. I use a Salter Aire Plus 8350, which is an older model, and from my research it is the best nebulizer compressor ever made. They no longer have it, but you might find one on eBay or fb marketplace. Filters are still available for it. Salter now offers the Elite compressor, but I don't know if it is as good. Mine is about 23 years old and works way better than the new cheapo Vios one my O2 supplier brought, which I had them take back. The Salter was my Mom's and I just cleaned it and got new filters. This can still be found - Google it. The $25 ones are okay, but for the best, this is the one. By the way, I am an air compressor expert and rebuild Quincy air compressors. I use the Sprint kit nebulizer, available on Amazon, it's better than the old style. Just FYI my .02.
