My friend

My vote for Predisone is yea. Have taken Predisone many, many times, I find it to be very helpful in reducing the effects of those nasty exacerbations. Plus, in my case, it gives me energy to attack my wife's job jar. I also find that Predisone makes me eat everything in sight. Given the upside versus the side effects, I'll always go with Predisone.

  1. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I'm glad to hear prednisone is something that helps you! You're right, COPD exacerbations are nasty and it is so helpful to have something that helps you deal with them. All the best, Sam S. (COPD.net, team member).

    1. Hi Wdh, and thanks for joining in this conversation. I see my colleague, , has already replied to you.
I did want to comment on your term ''job jar" - that is a new one for me. I am more accustomed to the 'honey do list'. I'll have to use yours now, if you don't mind!
      All the best,

      1. I can function on steroids .. currently in bed waiting for my rescue pack to kick in 😵‍💫
However I tend to eat anything that’s put in front of me ,including sprouts and prawns 🤢🤣mmm tasty.
My son has renamed me hungry hippo , I caught him rolling a tomato across the floor to see if my neck would come out .

        1. I so agree! I love the energy! Of course, the mouth runs as well. And, at 112, I need to pick up a few pounds, so that's another bonus. I am in the last four days of a stepdown dose, still doing really well. The one thing I don't like is the effect on my skin. It's like paper. I am 73, so that may be part of that, but it seems to be worse than I would expect. I always wear long sleeves to protect my skin, but they're still scarred. but, like you say, given the side effects vs the upside, breathing is better.
