Is there a meal plan? What can I or not eat? Just been diagnosed after spending 7 weeks in ICU and was in a coma. Very emotional. Look for a whatsapp group for support. Sharon

Hi 7204240035080 and thanks for your post. There is no meal plan 'per se', that I am aware of. However there are various approaches to take when planning one's meal and managing COPD. I thought this article might provide you with some additional insight for your concern: https://copd.net/living-with-copd/pulmonary-rehab/weight-management/meal-planning/. I do hope you find it to be helpful. All the best, Leon (site moderator)

Hi 7204240035080
I am sorry to hear that you have been ill and hope you are on the mend now.
After being in hospital I usually start back slowly with food keeping in mind the essential food groups. It helps me to eat 6 small meals a day rather than the usual 3.
You will find out what agrees with you and what doesn't but generally be careful not to eat too many gassy foods, in general foods that are heavy and could cause bloat.
