I have to be honest, it is something we have noticed here in the US as well. I was just talking to a friend of mine the other day, someone who also has chronic illnesses like we do, and we both said that ever since COVID it seems like the healthcare system here in the US is totally broken and overwhelmed. It took me almost three hours the other day just to get checked in for a 30-minute outpatient surgery. Not to mention the parking lots and waiting rooms were all full to the brim on a Tuesday afternoon! This wasn't even a weekend! I feel like everyone is seeing it all over and, like you said, staff are doing the best they can and they are usually great but the administration is just chaos!
