Ok, have had COPD and Sleep Apnea for a few years now and have had to learn the hard way in how to cope with it. Yes, frustration, yes, weary, yes no energy, yes, on occasions not being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel, yes, having to replace things you used in ones every day's life and took for granted, like aftershaves, cleaning products, type of clothes you can wear comfortable. Having to organise how to go shopping, cleaning the house, doing the gardening and so many more things that I/we did and took for granted. BUT we do it, yes, on occasions it can get on top of us. Learning to not get frustrated, learning to pace one's self. Learning to accept that doing things we took for granted have gone, especially concerning grandchildren.
Organising how to manage going out with whatever form of Oxygen I have available, let alone carrying it and planning how long for. Sometimes pulling my mask off at night in frustration.
Funny thing is I enjoy being able to " beat " some of these everyday problems accept I wish I could find how to stop my skin itching all over 24hrs a day, no matter what lotion, creams or tables etc I am issued to try out to NO avail. Sorry if I sound like an old moaner, but, I hope that anybody reading this realise they are not alone. Psychically you maybe alone, but that is where this site comes in very handy and useful. For that, thank you all, and no matter what the sun is always shing, it is the clouds that get in the way occasionally, so enjoy life. Senile Bob S
