FUN Christmas Prank is ON

Well folks it is that time of year to do something naughty or nice. This year for me was a little of both. My family has had a rough year, mostly this last month. 4 of us suffer(ed) from COPD and other illness. Well the prank I had planned was for my 2nd oldest sister. She has been the "rock" for many and still dealing with her own issues.

Story behind the prank. Sister "C" has been telling me the last few years that her adult children ask for Christmas list from her but never gets her anything off it, but does give her nice gifts. This list tht she speaks of is : toilet paper, paper towels, garbage, you know life essentials, this give them to her as a gift, saves her money through the year. Seems good to me!
I had to get help with this for I live in Georgia and my sister is in Michigan. Her youngest daughter with 2 young sons, was the answer.
Chatted with my niece and boys (10 and 8 yrs old), they said this is awesome we got this for you! Thank goodness for Free Delivery from Sams Club, I ordered what my budget would allow, 32 rolls of toilet paper, 105 dish washer pods, 18 rolls of paper towel. Thank goodness they were all on sale. These were going to be wrapped and delivered with a note from 2 elves on Christmas Eve. Do to the fact that Sister had a rough week, sitting with my brother until he passed and then making funeral arrangements, the daughter and I decided now would be a good time to deliver.

Delivery, well niece and boys, wrapped everything bulky and sloppy how I had asked, printed the letter I sent and signed it George and Fred Elves for me. They thought to be sneaky and try to deliver to the back porch during my sisters normal nap time, hoping that the dog would not hear them. Well it happened Saturday, perfect timing for when they pulled up to the house to deliver, someone was there, big pickup still running, but all in the house. Niece and boys pulled their car beside the truck, got the gifts out, through the fence gate and on to the back porch, back to the car and off they went, called me laughing and giggling about the whole thing.

I have asked them not to lie, especially the young ones, if asked the right question, tell the truth of course.

The letter: It was George and Fred Elves. I will not tell everything on the letter because fould language was used. These 2 elves use to work for the Grinch, retired from the and found out Grinch is keeping 1/2 of their retirement due to a clause in their contracts. They moved in to gather so they could make ends meat but that didn't work out. Now a part time job was needed and the only other game in town was Santa. Well, off they went to get a job, had to go through Jolly Elf School and put on their first job at Christmas. It was to fulfill wishes of person of certain ages (old farts). When they seen that many folks ask for life staples they just tossed those silly things a side and filled those that wanted the nice expensive stuff. Sant found out after Christmas and sent those two elves to elf rehab. Back at the job same job this year, they now realize where they went wrong and are only filling those that ask for the basics in life and not the expensive, for those 2 elves are feeling the pain of living from pay check to pay check too. So thus my sister is getting some of her wishes from Christmas past. At the I even added a survey asking for her to give all 4's and 5's being the best so the elves could maintain their jobs with Santa, if they did not get these scores then Santa was going to kick them to the curve. Now take your imagination, add some jabs at both the Grinch, Santa and little Cindy Lou Who, use all the cuss words you know once in a while and that is that.

I received a phone from this sister telling me all about this package, how she questioned her children etc. Today she called again, telling me she contacted neighbors and family friends to see if they know anything. She is excited about this and her head currently is in a better place, letting her relax a little and just try to join a little of the Season.

My niece and boys have already called today also, asking if there is a way we can keep this going through the year. Oh boy I said, I have lots of ideas, will forward in the next few days. It's going to be fun as long as we can keep our surprises a secret. Thinking garbage bags for News Years, Asprins for Valentines day....

Do you all have any ideas for me?

Merry Christmas, may everyone and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

  1. Your sense of humor and ingenuity, is above reproach. It is not at the expense of your older sister, but to her betterment, and funny. If you do this throughout the year, I would bet she will figure out who it is sending her the things she needs or wants. I can personally relate to this. I was asked what I wanted one year for Christmas, "A car, I quickly responded."
Being young and naive, I looked for my car that Christmas day, and became despondent when I didn't find it. My mom handed me my stocking, and behold, in there was my new Mattel car.

I know I would love to have family that size.
Best of luck to you, and I hope this works out for everyone. MERRY CHRISTMAS and A HAPPY and BETTER NEW YEARS, my friend. joe

    1. Well you did get what you asked for, right? LOL At least it was not a model car to put together. I had 5 siblings, i am the 4th, girls first boys after me, spoiked they were.. Positive and negatives to all families, but they are family!
BEST TO YOU, let s dance New Years Eve! Hugs

  2. And HUGS back at you. I look forward to that dance with you, just to say, "I have Danced with a HERO." If it hadn't been for you, I might not have made it. I still have not come to grips with my 102-year-old mother, who passed on August 22, 2024.

I am more fortunate than many people, I have asked Our Lord to please spread the wealth around, I only ask for a few more years together with my wife, Debbie. January 1st will be our 5th wedding anniversary. She is my everything. I do have some beautiful ladies, along with my wife, two daughters, one son and 3 granddaughters and one great-grandson.

See you New Year's Eve for that dance. Hugs and prayers to you and your family for a better New Year.
