Feeling low

I’m on permanently antibiotics and I suffer with a chest infection at least once a month not sleeping at all my husband and kids don’t know what to do with me anymore they just think I’m going on the band tried to speak to the doctor they put me on depression and anxiety pills but that’s not the answer I don’t think haven’t seen a pulmonary doctor in about five years just don’t know what to do with the honest

  1. Hi higginss, and thanks for sharing your story here with the community. I am sorry to hear you are going through all this.
Based on what you've shared here, do you think you might consider returning to see the pulmonary physician? The doctor may be able to guide you through the several medical issues you've shared with the rest of us.
    What do you think?

    1. If it were me, I think I'd go to a pulmonologist. They don't have all the answers, but they know much more about lungs than a regular primary care physician. They also know more about specific COPD drugs, some of which could cause the issues.

      1. Hi Leon I’m Karen and yes I’m hoping to see someone next Friday I have an appointment with the doctors I was up all night with really bad pains in my chest an still feeling really low an sweating like I’m on fire an have really bad headache so I’m hoping someone will help me every time I go to the doctors they think it’s all in my head an look at me like I’ve got five heads an put me on more medication that makes me feel worse so I’m seeing a new doctor hopefully I will get something done

        1. Hi again, Karen (higginss) - I wanted to follow up with you to see if you were able to see the doctor, which you mentioned in your previous post (from April 14), above. I was hoping you would be able to provide us with an update.
          Wishing you well,
          Leon (site moderator COPD.net)

        2. Wow! Where are you located? I hope you are in America, and in a city, as this is not an illness for quack country doctors, which is what it sounds like you have there. There is effective treatment for what you have, you just need a real doctor to provide it. Fire the idiot and find a real doctor. You will know you have when your treatment works. Permanent antibiotics!? That is the worst thing you could possibly do! Real doctors know better. That is literally malpractice! Please don't die for lack of real medical care. Let us know how the new doctor does. I would sue the hell out of a doctor like that - he needs to have his medical license revoked. Sorry, but I have strong feelings about this. There are unfortunately a lot of doctors who should be in prison, because they are practicing fraud.
