Fatigue

I am always tired snd unable.to function
I feel frustrated and deprrssed.

  1. Hi 32759pjm,

I'm so sorry you're feeling that way. It can be so frustrating to feel like we can't do what we'd like to. It often can seem like it's a vicious cycle of tiredness, depression, frustration, and so on. Sometimes it helps to know others feel the same way and can really empathize with you. It made me think of an articel that I thought was very helpful. Here's the link - I think you'll like it as well.

Please know we're thinking of you!

    1. I am too fatigued to do anything. I can't even do my housework and i"m subject to housekeeping inspections by the landlord on pain of eviction. I am hoping i'm dead by the next inspection. Are there any stimulant chemicals that can boost my energy levels? I can't seem to sleep this off because i can't breathe when i lie down.

      1. Hi Sam1 and we hear you! So many of the members in our community have expressed similar sentiments as yours when it comes to feeing tried with COPD. I think you'll find that this particular article sheds more light on this particular topic and also makes some good suggestions:https://copd.net/living/tired-vs-copd-tired/. Your comment "I am hoping I'm dead..." has me very much concerned for you. If you truly feel that way, you really should contact your physician right away.

Please do check back and let us know how you're doing, Sam.
        Warmly,

        1. I'm not suicidal as i have certain beliefs that prevent me from actively taking my own life. I sometimes wish i was dead due to constant distress but i cannot do anything to hasten my death. I won't. I'm not a danger to myself and don't need immediately psychiatric intervention don't worry. I get very downtrodden and disheartened at times over this. I will not kill myself. This is very uncomfortable and there's been a great reduction in my lifestyle due to this. I hardly do a lot of what i used to do and it's distressing to me.

      2. Hi Sam1 and thanks for your reply. We tend to be concerned when members express themselves as you did in your post on February 17. Dealing with COPD is certainly challenging, that we all understand. We have an entire online community that understands what you're going through and can provide support and an understanding ear when you need it.
        Hang in there!
