Exersise Routine

About a month ago I started doing a low impact Chair exercise regiment tailored for seniors that has really improved my lung function.
I follow it with a 15 minute relaxation meditation that has been a huge help with my COPD related anxiety.
I found both for free on You Tube.
Just wanted to share a couple of things that Ive found very helpfull, please share some things that work for you.

  1. ,
I have my own exercise routine. I am 70 and work out 5 days a week. 20 years ago, I got rid of my home gym equipment that I had set up in my garage. I had cable machines, squat rack and leg machine, incline & decline benches, a Scott curl machine, Olympic weights, everyday weights, various dumbbells, etc. I worked out for many years 3 days a week and had 3 other friends and family members there daily using the gym. Since we moved across the country twice, I had to sell it off, but never stopped working out. Now I just use dumbbells for my workouts and do exercises appropriate for my age. I am thankful for the knowledge I gained by having my own gym and it comes in handy for my exercising at home. Good for you Allan for exercising within your capabilities! It is very important for your breathing and overall health. Keep it up! Take care and God Bless!

    1. I love hearing this! A lot of people think that exercise has to be this very strenuous, dramatic ordeal, but that's not the case. 😀 Chair exercises are fabulous and you can get a great workout if you put some effort into the movements! What made you decide to seek out those videos? Feel free to post the links so that other people can give it a try if they want (with their doctor's okay, of course).
