Exacerbation Hospitalization Oh Boy

When I last updated her in mid October I swear I was feeling pretty good. That only lasted a few days from the post and up Ambulance was at my house. They believed I was having Exacerbation issues. The ER started treating me as they do with meds and called for a CT of lungs to be done. Well that was a surprise to everyone when the results came back, usually its my right lung with issues. No this time is was the left lung with blood clots. 9 days in the hospital, weakened of course and been at home now almost a month trying to recover. Blood thinners to hopefully help the clots to clear. Edema was and has been horrible, but all is healing just needs a little more time for the wounds to finish healing and then they might be able to do something with my Venous Reflux that is the major contributor with a lot of help from the COPD also. The fungus is still among my right lung, the meds must be working for I finally made it back down to 2 liters of O2 all the time, Home health care called in, those people have been amazing, between my doctors appointments and such they schedule visits, so I have a physical and occupational therapist, nurse for the leg wound and in general check up and did have a CNA to help me bath for the first 3 weeks. This one hit me hard, it took this long just to be able to start functioning more "normal" . I am up walking using a walker of course and getting frustrated when the walker and o2 hose seem to get tangled together. Spirits are up and ready to go, grandbabies are coming and guess what? There is a new grandbaby on the way, due in June. Exciting times even during the worst days you might have had. Positive attitude the best way you can, its hard, been down that ugly dark hole many times. I wish everyone a "good day" with no worries. Thank to all for being there for me!
