Cycling with copd
Do anyone know if this cycling on prescription trial for those who are over weight would also apply for us with copd and would it effect those claiming mobility pip,
Good morning, CM4579 and welcome! I see you just joined our community and have already jumped in with a good comment and an excellent question, too - thank you!
I didn't know much about this program 'cycling on prescription', so I spent some time and looked it up. I was able to find this applicable article (from the British Journal of General Practice, dated in 2020), and I thought this might shed some light on the program for both you and our community members.
I am also hopeful others in the community, who may be familiar with the program or, have personal experience with it, will chime in and share what they know.

Leon (site moderator COPD.net)I think it's a brilliant idea to take the pressure off Hospitals and pateints helping themselves to recovery, i understand this trial is only at a few health centres around the country and lasts up to 2023 and if successful will be available to all health centres throuhout the country, we'll just have to wait and see.
