  1. Hi monkey, and thanks for your post. While I am hopeful others in the community will read about your concern and answer by sharing their own personal experiences, I have a comment to make as well.
What you are describing while using the BiPAP device with a mask may be attributed to two issues (based on my professional experience).
The first may be the actual mask fitment. One of the most important aspects of using a BiPAP machine successfully is to have a properly fitting mask. This is the responsibility of the home care company which provides the equipment.
The second concern is that actual settings of the BiPAP machine (inspiratory and/or expiratory pressure) are appropriate for each patient. This may change over time.
If these are the issues in your particular case, you may want to reach out to both your prescribing physician and the equipment company. They can help determine if this is actually the issue for you or, it's something else.
    What do you think?

    1. Hi! I see Leon had some good suggestions about why you may be having problems with your bipap. Do you think it's the mask fit or the settings? Hopefully you were able to reach out to either the home care company that supplies the equipment or your doctor. The sooner you can get it fixed the better so that you can get the benefit you should be from using the bipap. Please let us know.
