Albuterol sulfate

Has anyone used albuterol sulfate and how did it work for you?

  1. Hi, I use albuterol and many others in this community do. In fact, it is one of the most commonly prescribed medicines for treating COPD. I also give this medicine every day to people with COPD. It is a very effective medicine for opening airways and making breathing easier. If you are interested, I will provide you with a link to an article about this medicine here (https://copd.net/medication-overview/medications/sabas). Hope this helps. 1. Hi fred - welcome and thanks for your post. I see my colleagues and fellow community members ( and @Tlee), have already shared their own thoughts here. I also have something to add.
I have used albuterol, as a rescue inhaler, since its first came out, many years ago. In the beginning, I used it more often than I do currently, as my own condition was as well controlled then as it is now.
I have found it to be an extremely effective medication when I use it.
Are you using albuterol now? Do you find it works for you?
      All the best,
      Leon (site moderator COPD.net)
