Air travel with COPD

I've been on oxygen 24/7 for six years. During that time I haven't traveled at all. My daughter and I are planning on flying to Portland Oregon in June. We live in Colorado so I expect it will be easier to breathe at sea level. I've spoken to Southwest and I have a good idea of what their requirements are to fly with them. I'm looking for any tips or advice from anyone who travels
by air. Thank you so much.

    1. Hello there is one thing that affected me. I have been on oxygen for a number of years at night only.
There wasn’t anything that i was concerned about. Until take off. My oxygen level dropped to 79*. Thankfully my rescue inhaler was in my pocket and it did bring up my oxygen levels. I tested it at the next take off and it dropped again.
I did learn from that, so I use the rescue inhaler just before takeoff and I haven’t had my oxygen drop since.
I hope that you have a wonderful trip!

      1. I live in vancouver Washington which is bordered with Portland, we have a lot of humidity which isn't good for COPD so be aware of that when coming to the PNW.

        1. Thank you for sharing
