Hello all👋

I'm not sure if I have told my story. I was so sick when I was diagnosed 13 years ago with stage 4 Emphysema.

I wasn't okay

I had been working at the ranch getting the horses ready for a rodeo.
A co-worker looked at me and asked if I was ok, I knew if I kept going I was gonna drop.

I left work and went directly to the ER, the Dr came in, ran a few tests, came back in and told me I had a Pulmonary embolism. I didn't know what that was. She told me it was a blood clot in my lungs. 🥺

The diagnosis

They took me to a room and I was there for 9 days. On about day 5, she came in and told me I also had stage 4 COPD. My Dad had it years earlier and passed at 69 from Congestive heart failure. Approximately 5 years after my diagnosis, my older sister was diagnosed with COPD, she passed away at 68. I am about to turn 64 and it's a bit frightening.

Thanks for listening! I hope we all have a breathe-easy day.
