Flu to Bronchitis

2010 diagnosed with cough variant asthma. At the time I would cough.. exhaling... till I passed out.

Advair, ventolin... till insurance didn't like that.

Dulera, till insurance didn't like that.

Newly prescribed Simbicort. This has been the worst winter since 2010. Flu to Bronchitis... to a cough that won't stop.

Want to hear from those those who've been on Simbicort. Am concerned about long term use. What does "long term mean?" 6 months? 6 years?

Also, in addition to any community feedback you may receive about Symbicort, I believe the information that Leon inked to may help answer some of your questions. If you haven't already, you may want to bring up any questions you have with your physician. I am sorry you have had to switch medications due to insurance issues. I know that must be frustrating. And I am sorry this has been such a rough year for you, health-wise. Please don't hesitate to contact your doctor, should your symptoms continue to worsen or if you feel the Symbicort is not working well for you. Keep in mind that since Symbicort is considered a 'maintenance drug', it may take some time to start working for you.
