Slowly making progress

I am working into getting back into my new norm of working and knowing that the one that would talk to me at lunch is no longer here. Yes it feels weird working again with the quiet that I have to play spotify or some sort of music in the background as a distraction when the calls aren't coming through as much. I just returned back to work this week and feel pretty wiped out today. Not sure if it's from the haze from the wildfire smoke yesterday or just the weather being blah. I'm trying not to get sick right now - too much happening and don't want to slow down progress. Yesterday I had to use my rescue inhaler as my eyes watered from the hazy and an office that smelled like bengay and it set my lungs off. Yuck....Slowly coming to terms with going forward and still grieving too. Smoking won't solve any of this except hurt my lungs more. I stay away from smoking. I am just so tired today I want to sleep but have to pick up my kid from dance in a couple of hours. Oh boy there is always something happening.

  1. Hi again, , and thanks for sharing this update with the community. I hear you! It's understandable what a challenge this can be - first returning to work and not having your usual colleague there with you. Add to that the extra aspects of the atmosphere (from the Canadian wildfires), and it is a lot to contend with.
You'll make it, gail! Be patient with yourself and kind, too, Pace yourself, listen to your body and try not to overdo it. Naturally, your daughter needs you and you will be there as she (and you!) expect.
Please continue to check back and let us know how you're doing. We are here for you!
