hi ive just been on 5 days of steroids and anti biotics terrible retching at 3 in the morning to bring up a thimble full of green gunge just had las steroid on friday but still feel like shit how long does it take to get back to normal im still getting some stuff up no
That is a question I don't think anyone can answer with any kind of certainty. Our health is as individual as our personalities. Our immune systems are all specific to ourselves. What one person can fight off without medications, another may not be able to. That would be a question for your medical team. I can only say I hope you get over your issue quickly. Call your doctor if it does not improve soon, he/she will have a better answer for you. Good luck and God bless!
Hi again, Broadway, and thanks for this post. I see our colleague/community member , has already provided a response and I agree with his comment. (thanks Dminor!) I do hope you have an opportunity to look over what he has shared with you.
I also have something to contribute. If you have been on a 5-day course of both steroids and antibiotics, and you are experiencing the symptoms you've shared here (significant retching, and no improvement at all), you may want to reach out to your physician. Generally speaking, the administration of oral steroids and antibiotics should be supervised by one's physician. The doctor will be the medical professional to whom you would speak about how you're feeling on the prescribed medication regimen.
